In between her educational endeavors, Millie’s peripatetic life has taken her to New York, New York; Baltimore, Maryland; Montpellier, France; Bangkok, Thailand; and Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, before she settled down in Placer County, where she raises two cheeky children with her partner and works as a state government professional.

Millie enjoys the range of cultural and edible offerings in the Placer County area, including patronizing local artists in the Placer Artists Tours and imbibing mandarin milkshakes at the Mountain Mandarin Festival, as well as in the greater Sacramento area, from symphonies at the Mondavi Center to hard rock/heavy metal sets at the Aftershock Festival, and aims to increase the incorporation and appreciation of the cultural treasures representing the breadth of the AAPI community in Placer County. Her favorite AAPI treat is anything eggy and custardy — bolo baos and Hong Kong egg tarts!
